It's my professional job to make your wedding as stress free as possible. I enjoy adventure elopements and large elegant weddings. When you decide to hire a Pro, you probably want someone with empathy that understands what you're looking for. Your ceremony will be thoughtfully created and not boring.

I'm much different than other officiants by putting more effort into my elopements and weddings than others. I creatively write your wedding script according to your needs by a questionnaire that I sent through email. Then I sent it to you for review. No stress or surprises! After a decade, I have lots of great ideas.

When our original wedding officiant canceled at the last minute, Joshua Maples was a true life saver. With his responsive and impeccably polished communication style, he was able to quickly get certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia so he could officiate our ceremony. His personalized script felt meaningful and special, and his resilient and priceless expertise truly saved our treasured wedding day. We are forever grateful to Joshua for his quick thinking and invaluable service. We could not have asked for a better officiant to make our marriage official.

We had our dream adventure elopement on 6/9/25 at Roan Mountain on the TN border. Josh created a ceremony that was personal and beautifully written just for us. To say that he went "above and beyond" is an understatement. He was so much more than "just an officiant." He was amazing! Helpful from start to finish in every way imaginable (from music, to hair, to props, pics, and more) ! He is personable, easy to get along with, and downright funny! There needs to be an option for more than 5 stars because he deserves every single one! Recommend 10/10!

Joshua Maples Wedding Officiant was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From our initial communications via voice, text and email, Joshua was punctual, thoughtful and caring in his approach. When our DJ unexpectedly didn't show up, Joshua seamlessly stepped in, making use of our bluetooth speaker to provide music for our ceremony. He also made thoughtful announcements throughout the night to keep our reception on track. Joshua's personable demeanor and good sense of humor made us feel like family, not just clients. He even took some amazing photos and showed us wonderful spots for our portraits. Joshua's professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond truly made our special day a success. We are so grateful for his services and highly recommend him to any couple looking for an officiant who will make their wedding day unforgettable.

Joshua Maples Wedding Officiant was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony. From the moment we first spoke with him, his communication style was responsive, clear, friendly and even humorous at times, putting us completely at ease. The quality of his work and the value he provided was truly invaluable - he was like the Chick-fil-A of all officiants, delivering a Hallmark-worthy performance. Joshua went above and beyond, rehearsing and coordinating the entire event seamlessly. He even took us out for beautiful golden hour sunset photos, assisted with when to cut the cake and the dancing, and even stepped in as our DJ and poured the champagne. Joshua also helped us obtain our marriage license and is returning it for us since our wedding was on a short weekend. We didn't just get the officiant we wanted, we got the one we needed. I would book Joshua Maples 1 million percent for any wedding ceremony.
