Lead Photographer

My name is Nichole and I’m the Lead Photographer behind the Captivating Lens. I started my full time professional photography journey back in 2013. My Husband Jake is my amazing second shooter and started photography back in high school working with film. Our style is very romantic and soft. I'd say we are very up close and personal shooters and the goal is to take photos that you can (personal information protected by Zola) create an artistic approach to telling the story of your special day. From the tiny details to the last kiss, We will be there to document your love story.

With so many options for wedding photographers out there I would say the reason we stand out from what I’m told, would be that our clients can tell that we genuinely love and care about what we do. We give our all to every client. We have worked hard to develop our skills and be able to produce a high quality product. You only get one chance to capture this moment. There aren’t “do overs” with wedding photography. So you have to be on your game. We work so hard to ensure that nothing is missed. Because at the end of the day, the dress will be put away, The cake has been eaten and the flowers will die. But these photos will last forever!

We had selected a location on the venue grounds that we felt was perfect for photos. The Captivating Lens took the time to scout the location in advance, and after assessing the lighting, they kindly explained why it wouldn't be ideal for capturing the kind of photographs we’d want to treasure forever.
